Obituary of Emily M. Walker

Emily M. Walker, age 90, of Lewiston died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at home. Emily was born on January 15, 1932, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Alexandro and the late Marion (Mule) Proietti. Emily graduated from NFHS in 1951. She married LeRoy F. Walker on June 19, 1954, he predeceased her on April 17, 2000. Emily was employed as an assembly line worker for NRD on Grand Island and have previously worked at TOPS in Lewiston. She was a member of the Lewiston #1 and the Youngstown Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliaries, was an avid bowler at Rapids Bowling Alley. She volunteered at Mount St. Mary’s making stuffed bears for the E.R, she loved to sew and was know for her homemade grape jam. Surviving is her daughter, Tina (Rick) Plauman; her son, Patrick (Dawn) Walker; a sister, Rosalie Proietti, her grandchildren Myranda, and Justin Walker; her sister-in-law Mary Proietti also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Anna (late William) Hartman, John Proietti, and Andrew (late Janet) Proietti. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 21st. from 4-8 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, 401 Ridge St. (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), Lewiston, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM. on Wednesday, June 22nd at St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, NY with Rev. Cole Webster officiating.
