Douglas M. Taylor, age 83 of the Town of Cambria, NY died Thursday June 9, 2022, in the Harris Hill Nursing Facility, Williamsville, NY. Doug was born August 4, 1938, in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Louis and Dorothy Taylor. He was a 1956 graduate of LaSalle High School. Doug married Mary Louise Gombert on March 28, 1959, and resided in the Town of Cambria since 1960. He served in the US Army Reserves. He served his community as a volunteer fireman and EMT with the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company. He retired from Harrison Radiator where he worked as a millwright and skilled trades group leader. Doug was a long-time member of the Lockport YMCA. He played softball as a hobby and played for many teams for years. He was a devoted loving husband for 56 years to his wife Mary who predeceased him. He enjoyed gardening and reading. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Timothy (Carol) Taylor of Sherburne, NY, Jeffrey (Susan) Taylor of Corfu, NY, Cynthia (Mike) Zanghi of Elma, NY and Melissa Jalovick of Chaffee, NY; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Friends and Family may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. on SUNDAY June 12th from 1-4 PM. Funeral service and burial will be private in North Ridge Cemetery.
