Obituary of Timothy Kraatz

Timothy D. Kraatz, age 69 of Lockport, passed away on May 9th at home. Tim was born at Ransomville Hospital to Jerry and Bernetta Kraatz on April 22, 1953.
Tim graduated from Wilson Central High School in 1971, NCCC in 1973 with an associates degree and Buffalo State College in 1975. He was employed at Sherwood Selpac while attending college and moved into the purchasing department upon graduation. He was there for approximately 20 years. He was the owner of Summer's Place in Lockport. It was a dance/night club for middle and high school students. In 1993 it was changed to Nite Moves as an adult dance/night club, which was open for several years. In 1999 he decided it was time for a career change and decided to go into doing home inspections. He went to school in Washington, DC. and he and his wife moved to Northern Kentucky and started AdvanTech Home Inspections. After 18 years it was time to move back home to be with family which was most important to him. Tim always enjoyed fast cars, go-karts, amusement parks, Las Vegas, playing cards and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed passing it on to the younger generations.
Tim is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Lucy (Moot), mother Bernetta, brother Larry, sister Sue (Marty) Martinez, sister-in-law Sandy and pre-deceased by his brother Bill and father Jerry. He is also survived by his children Summer, Matthew (Krystal) Brown and Stacy (Jerry Jr.) Horton. Also, grandchildren Jordan, Kaeli and Jaeli Trigg, and JT Horton. Also survived by several nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephew.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM. on Friday, May 13th at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, NY. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 14th, at 11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 431 Lake St., Wilson, NY.
