Obituary of Paul W. Nashwinter

Paul W. Nashwinter, age 80, of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of Wheatfield and husband of Barbara Nashwinter (Nee Shear) died on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Florida. Paul was born on April 15, 1941, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Paul A. and the late Martha (Shadeck) Nashwinter. He graduated from Trott Vocational H.S. Paul married Barbara Shear on June 23, 1962. Paul was employed by Union Carbide/Niacet Corp. in Niagara Falls, NY as a Millwright for 36 years retiring in 2001 and moving to Florida. He was a member of the Free Wheeler's Car Club of Niagara Falls and the Niacet Men's Club in Niagara Falls, he enjoyed restoring classic and antique cars, hunting, target shooting, and the outdoors. Surviving is his wife, Barbara; their children, Rhonda (Geoffrey) Boulden, Kenneth (Debra) Orgel, Robert (Patricia) Nashwinter and Michael Nashwinter (Kurt Koerber); his siblings. Stan (Carla) Nashwinter, Richard (Billie) Nashwinter, Michael (Monica) Nashwinter and Diana (Christopher) Walp, also 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild and a brother in-law Allen “Sonny” Garlock. Paul is predeceased by his sister Patricia Garlock. Calling hours will be held at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 401 Ridge St. (N.Fourth & Ridge St.) Lewiston, NY 14092 on FRIDAY April 1st from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, NY on SATURDAY April 2nd at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Holy Trinity RC Cemetery, Town of Lewiston, NY.
