Obituary of Glyndora W. Powell

Glyndora W. Powell, age 90, of Youngstown died Monday, January 31st, 2022, at home in Youngstown. Glyndora was born on August 31st, 1931, in Johnson City, NY. She is the daughter of the late Floyd William and the late Flora Ethel (Greene) Worden. Glyndora attended and graduated from Union Endicott H.S. She married Robert E. Powell on June 25, 1949, he predeceased her on January 9th, 2019. Glyndora worked as a medical receptionist and office manager for a medical practice in Niagara Falls for 15 years. She enjoyed taking care of her family, music and hymns, antiquing, people, animals, gardening, and writing, she took courses at N.U. to become an author. Glyndora and her late husband Robert were members of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown where she served in the past as a Church Elder. Surviving are her children, Carol (Bryan) Issacs of Savona, NY, Donald Powell of Youngstown, and James (Amy) Powell of Blasdell; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sisters Jeanne Stuart and Donna Kirk and a grandson Riley Powell. Calling hours will be held on FRIDAY (2/11) from 6-9 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on SATURDAY (2/12) at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
