Obituary of Carolyn C. Gonka

Carolyn C. Gonka, age 92, of Lewiston died on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, at home in Lewiston. Carolyn was born on January 3rd, 1930, in Buffalo, NY. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Wanda Wysocki. Carol graduated high school then went on to ECC earning an associate degree. She married Frank B. Gonka, he predeceased her on June 21, 2007. Carolyn was a homemaker most of her life but did work for the Lew-Port School District as a lunch lady in the 70’s. She enjoyed many fun parties in the barn, gardening, lunches with friends and walks to the gazebo. She was an avid fan of Everyone Loves Raymond tv show, any music by John Denver and good books by author Stewart McLean. Carolyn was a member of St. Peter’s RC Church in Lewiston. Carolyn is survived by three sons, Bruce V. Gonka, Jeff (Claudine) Gonka and Robb Gonka; her grandchildren, Justin, Harrison, Nichole and Kiria Gonka; also, a sister-in-law Joan Wysocki. She is predeceased by her husband Frank and her brother Fred Wysocki. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
