Shirley A. Drinkwalter, 84, of Ransomville entered into rest at home on January 20th, 2022. She was born on August 3rd, 1937, in Ransomville to the late Frank and Jennie McClelland. Shirley married Ronald C. Drinkwalter Sr. on February 28th, 1953, he predeceased her on December 21, 1992.
Shirley worked her whole life at various jobs from farming, food processing, several jobs in the restaurant industry and elderly care from which she retired from. She was a life member of the VFW Post 313 and a member of the River Life chapel where she enjoyed being a greeter.
Surviving are her children; Ronald C. Drinkwalter Jr., R. Scott (Debbie) Drinkwalter Sr. and Jennie (Thomas) Welder; 7 grandchildren, Daniel (Jessica) Seeloff, Roland S. Drinkwalter Jr., Leah (Augustine) Beyer, Laura Welder, Nicholas (Miranda) Drinkwalter, Amy Welder and Mariah Drinkwalter; 7 great grandchildren, Liam and Harper Seeloff, Gabriel, Caleb, Connor, and Sophie Beyer and Maverick Drinkwalter, also her best friend of 72 years Bea Linton. She is predeceased by her husband Ronald, her sisters Gerrie McClelland and Millie Barker; 2 brothers Donald and Frank McClelland and her grandson Thomas Ryan Welder.
Visitation hours will be held on SATURDAY January 29th from 11:00 AM till 1:30 PM. At the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 1:30 PM. Shirley will be buried in North Ridge Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
