Myrtle I. Alexander, age 93, of the Town of Wilson, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Myrtle was born on July 10, 1928, in Irvona, PA. She is the daughter of the late Thaddius and the late Ruth Stephens. She married John R. Alexander on June 18, 1948, he predeceased her on December 01, 2008. She was employed by Alexander Greenhouse on Maple Rd. as the Co-owner and operator with her late husband John and later became the private home care aid for the Schultz family. Myrtle enjoyed woodcarving, painting, gardening, and most of all being with her family. She is survived by her children; Miriam (Bruce) Bear, Lillian (Kevin) Reynolds, NY, Douglas (Laura) Alexander, Rodney (Janet) Alexander, Jack (late Yvonne) Alexander, Colleen (late Ira) Clouser and Robin Zapp. She is the grandmother of 19 and great grandmother to several, also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Myrtle is predeceased by 8 sisters and 2 brothers. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 13th from 4-7 PM. At the Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, January 14th in the funeral home with Rev. Kim Smith officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria following. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
