Obituary of Marjorie E. Meahl

Marjorie E. Meahl, age 87, of Cambria died on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Lockport Rehab in Lockport, NY. Marjorie was born on December 7th, 1934, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Clarence G. and the late Elvie (Bunker) Brown. Marjorie graduated from Niagara Falls H.S in 1952 and went on to attend Kelly Business School. She married Clarence Meahl on February 13, 1960, he predeceased her on March 28, 1999. Marjorie was employed by the Town of Cambria for 43 years as a Secretary for the Planning and Zoning Board. Marjorie was a volunteer for the Literacy Volunteers of Niagara Co. she worked on the family farm (Brown Dairy Farms) with her husband for many years. She enjoyed her pygmy Dwarf goats and was a member of the Cambria Home Bureau, the Cambria Women's Fellowship and the Cambria Congregational Church. Surviving is her daughter, Donna (Dennis) Meahl- Manchester of Gasport, NY; her sisters, Dorothy (Late Don) Reese and Pauline (Late Dean) Gregg; her grandchildren, Brittany Manchester (Dan Willoughby) and Rachelle (Scott) Solotes; her great grandchildren, Jennifer and William Solotes. Calling hours will be on Sunday, December 19th from 3-6 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 20th in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cambria Hillside Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
