Obituary of Alan P. Tarnowski

Alan P. “Al” Tarnowski, 73, of Cambria entered into rest on Saturday December 11th, 2021, in Wheatfield, NY. Born on July 9th, 1948, in Niagara Falls, NY to his late parents Zygmunt S. “Ziggy” and Ida Belle L. Strablow Tarnowski. Al attended Wilson CSD and was the owner and operator of Al’s Performance and was a prior employee of the Town of Cambria. Al loved racing, he raced at Ransomville Speedway in the 1970’s and was the head tech official at Ransomville and Lancaster Speedways in the late 1980’s and Early 1990’s. He enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his sons, Ronald (Colleen) Tarnowski and Michael Tarnowski; his grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Tarnowski; his siblings Jane Murr, Cynthia Freeman and Sue Timmons and special friends and neighbors Tony (Maryann) Cogdill. Al is predeceased by his sister Carol Harkelroad. Calling hours will be held on WEDNESDAY from 4-7 PM. at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private in North Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
