IRENE E. (COSTELLO) CINDRICK
1937-2021
Irene E. (Costello) Cindrick of Lewiston NY. formerly of Elmira NY & Bradford PA. passed away at home October 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Irene was born in Elmira N.Y. to Dominic & Irene Costello. Irene was raised in Bradford PA. Irene moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1957 where she met her one true love Robert Cindrick while they both were employed at Marine Trust Bank. After a short 2 week courtship, Irene & Robert married. Irene & Robert remained devoted to each other for 64 years prior to Roberts passing in August 2021. Irene & Robert settled in Lewiston N.Y. where they raised their 3 children.
Irene was a dedicated mother first & foremost. After raising her children Irene worked various positions in retail. Irene was a member of the Lewiston #1 Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years dedicating her time to field days, weddings & bingo. Irene enjoyed playing cards, listening to the radio, but most of all spending time with her family.
Irene is survived by, her son Scott (Cyndy) of Lewiston, her two daughters; Karen (James) Snyder of Ransomville and, Lisa (Greg) Kyle of St. Catharines Ont. Three grandchildren; Nicole (Zach) Collister of Lewiston NY, Robert Moon of Buffalo NY, and, Danielle (Matt) Waz of Youngstown NY, three great-grandchildren; Julianna Waz, Cameron Waz, and, Lawson Collister.
A very special thank you goes to Irene’s third daughter whom she called “my Michelle”. Michelle & Irene had such a loving & trusting relationship. You could see the special bond they shared. When Irene became ill, Michelle was right by Irene's side until the very end. Michelle is a very special part of the Cindrick family & we will be forever grateful for her kind, warm & caring heart.
At Irene’s request, there will be a small service for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. or Niagara SPCA 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls N.Y. 14304 Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES
