Esther M. Traver

Esther M. Traver, age 95, of Lewiston died on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Mrs. Traver was born on January 6, 1926, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Matthew and the late Gertrude (Zulke) Forknall. Esther graduated from LaSalle H.S class of 1945. She married Eugene Traver on April 30, 1947, he predeceased her in 1992. She was employed by Hibbard's Cleaners in Lewiston for many years as a clerk , she also worked at Stines pharmacy and Coulsen’s Pharmacy. She was a former member of the Lutheran Church of The Messiah in Lewiston; also a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lewiston Lodge #584; a former Girl Scout Leader in Lewiston; a former member and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. # 1. One of Esther’s greatest joys was making Christmas cookies for her family. Surviving is her children; Paul (Linda) Traver, Claudia (Michael) Sebring, Jeanne (Ralph) McCormick; her sister Betty Stirling, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by two children Robert (late Kay) Traver and Barbara (late Randy) Scott. As per Esther’s wishes no services will be held.
