David G. Nichols of Rockwell, NC and formerly of Lewiston and Youngstown died unexpectedly on September 18, 2021. Born in Buffalo, NY on February 20, 1962, to Joanne Haseley and the late William Nichols. David was a field mechanic for Ferebee Corp. in Rockwell, NC for the last 10 years and prior to moving to NC he was employed at Leaseway and Modern Disposal Corp. He enjoyed coaching Lew-Port youth football, riding his motorcycle , the races at Ransomville Speedway and the outdoors. Surviving are his children, Matthew D.(Lisa) Nichols of Youngstown and Ashley M. Nichols of Lewiston; his sibling Karen Scalzo, Scott Nichols, Cheryl Newton and Daryl Haseley; two grandchildren Raegan Sloma and Eli Martinucci; his girlfriend and companion Debbie Triplett, his former wife Barbara Nichols and Stepmother Jane Nichols. Calling hours will be from 2-4 PM. on Saturday (10/2) at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 401 Ridge St. Lewiston (N.Fourth and Ridge Sts.). A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Mark Daley.
