Obituary of Melissa C. Close - Farmer

Melissa C. Close Farmer , 33 of Wilson, wife of John W. Farmer Jr. entered into rest on Saturday September 18, 2021 at Niagara Hospice House. Born on October 27, 1987 in Newfane, NY to Wayne and Catherine Pesaresi Close. Melissa graduated from Newfane H.S class of 2006 where she attended BOCES for auto mechanics. She married John W. Farmer Jr. on September 27, 2019. She was currently employed as an EMT with the transport unit for Niagara Hospice. Melissa worked at many auto parts stores in Niagara Co. as well as working for Paramount Pictures as a set medic when they were filming in Buffalo. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, the races at Ransomville Speedway, was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. She loved to work on a pit crew at the racetrack. Melissa was a firefighter and EMT with Ransomville Vo. Fire Co.. Surviving is her husband John Farmer Jr.; her parents Wayne and Catherine Close; her In-laws John and Laura Farmer Sr.; Brother in-laws James, Jacob and Jordan Farmer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends who she felt were family Robert Champion and Charis Moore; her pet dog Zane William Phillip Farmer and many friends. She is predeceased by a son Wade Phillip Farmer. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville. Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. Funeral services will be on THURSDAY at 11:00 AM. in the funeral home. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery. Per Melissa's request please wear casual clothing to all of the services.
