James A. Lester, age 72 formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died Tuesday October 19, 2010 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Residence in Lewiston after a long illness.
James was born October 6, 1938 in Hurley, VA, the son of the late John H. and Marjorie Lester and lived most of his life in Niagara Falls. For many years he was a laborer employed by Carbon Graphite in Niagara Falls, NY. James had served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Lester of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Jean Hillman of Ransomville, Kathleen Fitzgerald of Niagara Falls, and Lorene (Larry) Near of Lewiston; two brothers, Claude Lester of Meherrin, VA and William Lester of Largo, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Bonnie Cutler and Mary Randock; and two brothers, Edward and John Lester.
Funeral Services and Interment were private at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Ransomville Free Methodist Church, 3924 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville.
