Obituary of Norma Jane Brosnan

Norma Jane Brosnan, 97, of Salem, WV passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at her residence with family by her side. She was born November 23, 1923 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Charles E and Daisy Maude Van Luven Balcom. Norma worked as a secretary for the Niagara Falls Gas Company for many years. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and watching the birds. Norma is survived by her son-in-law, Roger John Will, Sr, Salem, and one daughter-in-law, Sherry Wilburn, Cottondale, AL; grandchildren, Sandy Davis and husband Jim, children, Chelsea and Shawn Davis, James “Jim” Brosnan III and companion Kelly Cantrell, children, Brett and Andrew Brosnan, Brandi-Lyn Haynes and husband Steve, children, Brandon and Hailey Haynes, Robert “Bobby” Will and wife Kayla, children, Tristan Dorsey and Ryker Will, Roger Will Jr and wife Patti and son Zachary Will, Desiree Cook and husband Nick, Devon Streams and husband Bobby, children, Austin and Samantha Streams; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Brosnan; one daughter, Kathleen Mary Will; two sons, Jim Brosnan and Michael Brosnan; six brothers, Lorell “Dutch”, Virgil, Russell, Loren, Charles and Paul Balcom; and four sisters, Pearl and Alice Balcom, Grace Stolzenburg, and Lila L. Myers. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home-Salem, 1999 West Main Street, Salem, WV 26426, on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and at Hardison Funeral Home, 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston, NY 14092, on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Funeral Service being held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Ashlin Marchese officiating. Interment will follow at Niagara Falls Memorial Park, 5871 Military Rd Lewiston, NY 14092.
