Obituary of Norman L. Grauerholz

Norman L. Grauerholz, age 95, of Wheatfield, formerly of Elm Dr. Lewiston passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the VA Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Norman was born to Richard and Mary (McInerny) Grauerholz on May 29, 1926, in Memphis, NE. After graduating from Ashland (NE) High School, he served in the United States Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. He was employed by Union Carbide in Niagara Falls, NY in the Research and Development Dept. where he received two patents over his 20 years of employment. Norman was a member of United Baptist Christian Church in Lewiston, the Lewiston VFW Post, the Lewiston American Legion Post, and the Upper Mt. Vol Fire Co. Surviving are his children, Margaret Grauerholz of Batavia, NY, Sheila (John) Beers of Clarksville, TN, and Sharon (Bruce) Campbell of OH,also dear friends, George, and Shana. He is predeceased by his wife Lois, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 18th at the United Baptist Christian Church, 4800 Creek Rd., Lewiston, NY with Rev. Vince Eisaman officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery Kirk, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Baptist Christian Church, 4800 Creek Rd., Lewiston, NY 14092 or the Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co.
