Obituary of Linda E. Newman

Linda E. Newman, age 73, of Lewiston entered into rest on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Linda was on born November 17, 1947, in Lewiston, NY. She is the daughter of the late Roy and the late Vesta (O'Brien) Harms. She graduated from Lew-Port H.S class of 1965 going on to receive her bachelors from SUNY Cortland in 1969. She was currently employed by Niagara Community Action Program as a Nutritionist with the food program. Linda enjoyed reading, puzzles, her kitties,hiking,and most of all her family. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston where she sang in the Choir. She is survived by two daughters; Jennifer (Jason) D'Antuono of Ransomville, NY and Christina Newman of Niagara Falls, NY; a sister, Gail (Warren) Becher of Grand Island, NY; her Step-sister, Cheryl (David) Hina; step-brother’s, Wayne (Deanna) Harden, Rick (Lisa) Harden and Rod (Vincinette) Harden; her step-mother and best friend JoAnne Harms; her grandchildren, Alyssa Rutland, Ashton and Carson Redden and Justice Martinez also a great grandson, Grayson Rutland-Bugyi. Calling hours will be held at the HARDSION FUNERAL HOMES INC. 401 Ridge St. Lewiston (N. Fourth and Ridge Streets) on FRIDAY (Aug 27) from 3-7 PM. The funeral will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston, NY on Saturday (Aug 28) at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Dickersonville Cemetery Town of Lewiston.
