Susan J. Houser, age 54 of Dorwood Park, died Thursday June 18, 2009 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Susan was born September 14, 1954 in North Tonawanda, the daughter of Betty (Priest) Fitzsimmons of N. Tonawanda and the late Bernard Fitzsimmons. She was a 1972 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and has lived in Ransomville since 1985. On October 19, 1979 she married Glenn A. Houser. Susan was a member of the Ransomville Free Methodist Church and had taught Sunday School there for several years. She was an avid Sabres and Bills fan. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and watching all the Food Network channels. She is survived by her husband, Glenn; her children, Kelli (Dan) Heigl of Tonawnada, Matthew Houser of Buffalo, Nathan, Laura (Justin Tiedemann), and Lindsay Houser all of Ransomville; a brother, David Fitzsimmons and a sister Debi (Rocky) Siclari both of N. Tonawanda; her grandchildren, Kylie and Kaydence Tiedemann and Megan Heigl; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Fitzsimmons. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 10:00 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. William Lowery officiating.
