Kathleen A Schmidt (Roblee), age 74, of the Town of Niagara, died in the house she loved and raised her family in on Monday March 15, 2021 Kathy was born on November 12, 1946, in Batavia NY, the daughter of the late Ernest and Connie (Fallon) Roblee. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and received an Associates of Arts degree from Goldey Beacom Junior College in Wilmington Delaware She would later continue her education while working full-time and raising 4 children, earning an Associates of Science degree in Nursing from Niagara County Community college in 1990 with a 4.0. Kathy would spend most of her professional career as a well-known banker in the Village of Lewiston. Starting at the Permanent Savings bank in 1979 which would later become Key Bank where she would retire from in 2000. During her career, she would also volunteer for many of the village activities including the Peach Festival and Christmas walk and with the St. Vincent DePaul Society. However, out of a life full of accomplishments, her most proud accomplishment was her role as a loving and devoted wife to the late Robert G Schmidt whom she married on April 20, 1968, and as beloved mother to her four children, Robert G. (Diane) Schmidt Jr. of Antioch, IL, Ruth (Joseph) Kasian IV of Webster, NY, and William Schmidt of Lafayette, LA, and the late Robin (Takashi) Schmidt-Abe. Kathy will be dearly missed by all her children and four grandchildren Sebastian, Alexandria Schmidt-Abe and Joseph, Rebecca Kasian; her siblings Cindy Baker and Susan (Everette) Bickling; as well as her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Christine Roblee.
A memorial mass will take place at St. Mary of the Cataract 259 4th St. Niagara Falls on JUNE 25th at 10:00 AM. Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, Ransomville.
