Vera Kennert (nee Bittner), age 91, of Lewiston formerly of Springville and wife of the late Fred Kennert died Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace NCR in Lewiston, NY. Vera was born March 24, 1929 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, she is the daughter of the late Adolf and the late Rosemarie Bittner. Vera was employed by Tonawanda News as a Clerical Office Worker for many years. She was a lady of leisure, enjoyed traveling, was a member of the Lewiston Senior Citizen group and also was a member of the Displaced Homemakers Society 1979 of Springville.
She is survived by a daughter; Sabine Kennert and grandchildren Cameron and Veronica Flynn. She is predeceased by her husband Fred Kennert in 1978 also several siblings.
No services will be held at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place in Springville. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. Lewiston.
