I know John from having a deer camp next to my in Allegheny County. We often share our deer stories and adventure in the outdoors. He always expressed is pride in his daughter and was a quiet and soft spoken fellow. When ever he was down to his camp and I wasn't he would check around my cabin to make sure everything was OK and let me know. I will miss our story telling sessions. See you in the Happy Hunting Grounds John !

Anyone up for a game of dodgeball? Ransomville school recreation,GET NOWICKI! That’s where I met John over 40 years ago. Then in welding class in high school, we made each other better perfecting the perfect weld, sharing hunting and trapping stories during our break we soon started our weekend road trips deer and rabbit hunting. John would have to carry my rabbits and I had to carry his, the game bags full most days. We started fishing a lot when he was 15 years old. I being a little older would tow John on his bike with my moped to Wilson pier at 4 am and stay all day fishing. Then spending any free time we had out on Lake Ontario salmon fishing. A great friend he was and many memories as he was always with me. Many stories from the hub hotel. The stone jug after the races the motorcycle ride down Langdon rd after the stone jug , our first and only ride in a Sherrif patrol car shared together. Btw. No handcuffs. No arrests! Long story! A lot of great memories with John I will never forget. Rest In Peace my friend , May there be a big buck behind every tree , and the 40 lb salmon we didn’t ever get on your next cast! Andy

John wasn't just a coworker but a very good friend. John was a professional at what he did. He was always diligent and very meticulous with his work ethic. I have many good memories with John working on road trips and enjoying his hunting stories. I had the pleasure of interacting with him every day and I will sure miss him. He was a great person and very humble. God bless you John Mike hoffman. IMA

My deepest condolences to all of Johns family. John was a bear hunting client of mine who hunted with me for many years. He quickly became a friend more than he was a client. He was a very kind and pleasant man who you could tell just loved the outdoors. We spent many times together riding back logging roads all the while John talking about his daughter and wife and his family and how much he loved them all. He would tell me about his camp and how much he loved being there. On top of all that John was a dam good hunter. I always looked so forward to guiding him because he made me look good because he knew how to hunt bear. He was very good at it. I will miss you my friend and I will certainly cherish the hunts we had together. Someday we will hunt together again.

So sad that John has left us. He was a longtime friend and coworker. Over the years John taught me a lot here at work. We had great times fishing for perch or yellow pike on Lake Erie. We both loved hunting and talked often about our fall hunting plans. Watching the fireworks in Lewiston, occasional sledding with the kids, pizza and a fire. John loved his wife and daughter very much. He often spoke about his daughter Julia with a fathers love in his heart. A very quiet and soft spoken man of integrity and a dependable friend. So long for now my friend. Thanks for all the memories, God bless you and keep you safe forever.

I was very sorry to hear about John. John was, for the most part, quiet and soft-spoken but I could always count on him to provide some distraction when I needed it most during the day. He would often stop by to show me the pictures from his latest hunt and tell me the tales that go along with the pictures. In fact, once he started talking about hunting, it was hard to get him to stop. John was a good man and he will be missed by all.
