Edward J. Kaleta, age 96, of Wheatfield died Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Edward was born December 2, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late John and the late Sophie (Ruzga) Kaleta. Edward graduated from Trott Vocational. He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946. Edward worked as a Draftsman for many years. He enjoyed gardening, riding his bike, and going to baseball games.
Edward is survived by several nieces and nephews, he is predeceased by his siblings Gladys Kowalski, Steve Kaleta, Helen Rohring and Joseph Kalita.
Services with military honors will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Pembroke, NY at a later date. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 or Brookdale of Wheatfield 6751 Nash Rd. North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC.
