Obituary of Mildred E. Mattoon

Mildred Mattoon, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 87 on February 7th. For many years Mildred was a USPS clerk, before becoming the Ransomville Post Master in 1981, where she worked until her retirement in 1993. Mildred had an ear for music, since playing the drums in highschool she enjoyed listening to her favorite tunes. Mildred cherished her family, coordinating and hosting annual family reunions for years. She always had her camera in hand to capture the memories. Mildred is survived by her three daughters, René Zafuto, Della Maines, Lonna (Thomas) Reinbird, her 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mildred is predeceased by her two sons, Michael Mattoon, and Mitchell Mattoon. She will be deeply missed. Private services will be held for immediate family only.
