Obituary of Edward Gregory Young

Edward Gregory Young, age 61 of Youngstown died Monday September 20, 2010 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Ed was born November 18, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Aldwin and Lillian (Crispell) Young and has lived most of his life in Youngstown. He married Kristin (Kosoc) Young on June 7, 1967. Ed was employed as a Groundsman by Lewiston Porter Central Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1999. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed shooting as well as many other sports. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kristin; four sons, Edward W. (Layne) Young, Philip A. Young both of Youngstown, Erik D. (Tammy) Young of Newfane, and Nicholas T. Young of Youngstown; a daughter, Tara Young of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Tyler Seeloff and Lorelei S. Young; two brothers, Arthur (Peggy) Young of Ransomville and James (Debbie) Young of Georgia; and a sister, Eileen J. (Don) Hockenberry of Scio, NY. He was predeceased by a brother, Craig Young . Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
