My condolences to all of you. I loved stopping in to visit Walt and Shirley when they were living on Lake Street. Shirley was so happy when I came to visit and told me many interesting stories about our families that I would have never known otherwise.

My deepest sympathy to all the Evans family. I remember Shirley from the days when she and "Putt" lived on Randall Rd. and were neighbors of my in-laws, Elsie and Dudley Fitch. Mom Fitch and Shirley were very good friends and she and Dad Fitch always spoke very highly of Shirley and Walter. Shirley was such a beautiful and classy lady, always smiling, and very friendly. Your family has been through so much in the last several years, so very sorry.

Shirley was lovely to me when I moved home to Ransomville in 1997. She was steadfast in her belief that good things would come of my decision. Bernice, Shirley, and I would get together whenever I could to sing hymns, walk together, simply share. My heart aches on one hand for her family but on the other hand, realize she is with her beloved sons now. Jimmy and Maureen welcomed her Home with huge hugs. And Mother and Bernice joined them in singing hymns once again. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends, especially Kathy Lynn.

Shirley and Walter Evans wonderfully pointed me toward the Tree of Life, Jesus my Lord. Then I reaffirmed my call to be a pastor. Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree
