Gerald E. “Skip” Burnett age 89 of Ransomville passed away on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Skip was born in Ransomville, NY on November 21, 1931, the son of the late Everett and Marjorie (Miller) Burnett. Gerald Served in the United State Army from 1952 to 1954 he was a Korean War Veteran. Skip retired from General Motors in 1992 where he was a Journeyman Pipefitter. He was a lifelong member of the O.Leo Curtiss Post 830 American Legion Post of Ransomville, NY, and an exempt member of Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Gerald is survived by his wife of 65 years Marjorie (Sawyer) Burnett; his son Douglas (Catherine) Burnett and daughter Judy Boyce (Michael Falk); grandchildren Jeremy (Ashley) Boyce, Jennifer Boyce, Steven (Meghan) Burnett, John (Julie) Burnett; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; his sisters Betty (Late Sumner) Stacy, Lois (William) O’Neill and Naomi (Late James) Campbell. Gerald is predeceased by a sister Ruth (George) Mather. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Dickersonville Cemetery.
