Obituary of Gene M. Saunderson

Gene M. Saunderson, age 78, of Ransomville died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at VA Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Gene was born November 26, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Robert W. and the late Buelah (Lasher) Saunderson. Gene was a graduate of Wilson High School. He served in the United States Army 1964 to 1966. He was employed by American Pharmaceutical Partners on Grand Island as a Bio Tech. He previously had worked for National Fuel. Gene was an outstanding sports athlete in high school and was also an outstanding family man, always putting his family first. He also enjoyed playing cards. He is survived by two sons: Matthew (Michelle) Saunderson and Gene M. Saunderson II; his Siblings, Edith Forsyth, Beatrice Linton, Ruth Sumner, and Racheal Tracey; his grandchildren, Frankie, Levi and Martika and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 21 from 3-7 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 22 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Town of Wilson, NY.
