Charlotte E (Woelfle) Perri , of Ransomville entered into eternal peace with her lord surrounded by her loving family. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her devotion and knew that she would be blessed with his grace and glory. Her home was a welcome place to her family and an enormous number of friends. Charlotte was a true disciple of Christ and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Charlotte was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 17, 1934 to Sophie (Schwarz) Woelfle Christopher and Paul Woelfle. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Albert R. Perri and brother, Paul E. Woelfle. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children, Albert (Laurie) Perri of Ransomville, the late Pauline (Martin) Barnes of Youngstown, Tina (Ronald) Gamble of Ransomville and James (Kelly) Perri of Youngstown. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Rose (Vanik) Aloian, Joseph (Christine) Perri, Robert Perri, Ryan (Kristen) Gamble, Corey (Sarah) Gamble, Heather (Zack) Cooper and Stephen Perri also 7 great grandchildren and a nephew Jed (Sheryl) Woelfle, also many cousins in Germany and New Jersey. Charlotte was a long-time member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Lewiston. She taught Sunday school for 12 years, served on the church council and was a devoted member of the church and church family. Charlotte could be found at most church events, either chairing, in the kitchen or the office. She was an original member of the Women’s Republican Committee and volunteered for many needy causes including Relay For Life for 5 years, World University Games, Board of Elections and Red Cross. Charlotte was also a long-time member of the Red Hatters. Charlotte retired from the Lewiston-Porter Central School District in 2000 after 28 years of service. During that time, she organized and served as President for 16 years of the LPUEE Union. In 1999 she was awarded the NYSUT “Local Leadership Award”. She was also a member and representative of the Employee Assistance Program for 15 years. She loved to travel, her most memorable being trips to German and to the Holy Land. Charlotte was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, and dear friend. She will be missed but never forgotten, leaving cherished memories that will live forever. Family and friends will be received on WEDNESDAY from 3-7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. N. Fourth and Ridge Sts. Lewiston, NY. Funeral services will be held on THURSDAY at 11:00 Am in Messiah Lutheran Church 915 Oneida St. Lewiston.
