Obituary of Diane E. McGinnis

Diane E. McGinnis (Goodnight), age 76, of Ransomville wife of the late Ronald J. McGinnis entered into rest Sunday, November 29, 2020 at home. Diane was born on April 9, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Raymond Goodnight and the late Lucille (McFadyen) Borget. Diane attended and graduated from Wilson H.S. She married Ronald J. McGinnis on December 2, 1961 he predeceased her on December 26, 2000.
Diane was employed at Faery’s Greenhouse, Coulter Farms and Blackman Farms over her many years. She loved being with her family especially during the holidays, she enjoyed Friday coffee with the girls, her beloved cat “Sam” and gardening.
Surviving are her children Debra (Kevin) Kopp, Sherry (Shawn) Parker and Scott (Maria) McGinnis; her siblings Ed (Edith) Goodnight and Carol (Murdock) Mackenzie; her grandchildren Joel (Heather), Darren (Erica), Brandon, Emily, Natalie, Morgan and Wyatt also great grandchildren Emma and Parker and Diane’s loving companion Ralph Gougeon.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at 11:00 AM on SATURDAY (12/5) at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
