Obituary of Leonard F. Strablow

Leonard F. Strablow, age 83 of Ransomville, died Monday August 30, 2010 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Leonard was born March 25, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Fred L. and Alice (Wiepert) Strablow and was a lifelong resident of Ransomville. He owned and operated his 116 acre family farm, Strablow Farms, and had taken his produce to the Clinton-Bailey Market in Buffalo for 56 years. Leonard married Marion R. (Miller) Strablow on April 26, 1952. He was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Newfane, a member of the Sanborn Historical Society, and the Ransomville Rural Retirees. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion, and a daughter, Karen Strablow also of Ransomville. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 3, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Jagow officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria. Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 3121 Beebe Rd., Newfane, NY 14108 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
