Obituary of Robert H. Brolinski

Robert H. Brolinski, age 73 of Rainbow Park, died Sunday August 29, 2010 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a short illness.
Robert was born November 12, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late George Anderson and Anastasia (Zincievich) Brolinski. He was a 1954 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School and he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1956 and served until his honorable discharge in 1960. Robert married Phyllis E. (Irving) Brolinski on December 3, 1959. They lived in Lewiston until moving to Ransomville five years ago. Robert retired in 1993 as a Foreman for Carbon Graphite in Niagara Falls, after 38 years of service. For the past 5 years Robert worked for Jay Clause Car Wash Services in Lewiston and Sanborn. He was a member and Exempt Member of the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. # 1, the Marine Corp League of Wheatfield, the V.F.W. Post # 917 in Niagara Falls, the American Legion Post # 381 in Niagara Falls, and the 3 F Club in Youngstown. Robert loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on race cars for Dave and Scott Just Race Team at Ransomville Speedway, and was an avid NY Yankees and Buffalo Sabres fan.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by his children, Dennis Brolinski of West Seneca, Chuck (Patti) Brolinski, Robin Haskell (Dick Grace), Terry (Kris) Brolinski, and Jamie (Ailbhe) Brolinski all of Lewiston; two brothers, Kay (the late Marie) Anderson of Niobi, NY and Paul (Babette) Anderson of Canisius, NY; three sisters, Jerri (Charlie) Goldberg and Nancy Barra both of LeRoy, NY, and Patricia (Joseph) Salvatore of Burt, NY; 10 grandchildren and 71/2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandchild, Tiffany Ribbeck.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held Thursday, September 2, at 10:00 AM in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 400 Ridge St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Susan Keppy officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
