Obituary of James A. Proietti

James A. Proietti, age 63, of Lewiston husband of Lori Maglio Proietti died suddenly on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. James was born on November 12, 1956 in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late John Proietti and Mary (Chiarella) Proietti. Jimmy graduated from Lew-Port in 1975. He married Lori Maglio on May 17, 1986. Jimmy retired from NYS Power Authority in 2011 after 30 years as a welder. He enjoyed hunting in Montana and gardening. Jimmy was a very helpful person and always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He is survived by his wife: Lori; his mother Mary Proietti; two daughters Ashley (Eric) Clingersmith and Shannon Proietti; his sister Cheryl (Daniel) Diem; mother in law, Lorraine (Late Michael) Maglio; one grandchild, Eva Clingersmith, one nephew and 2 nieces and his best friend Mark Furgal. He will be sadly missed by his beloved dogs and cat Colony. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on WEDNESDAY from 3-7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC., 401 Ridge St. (Fourth and Ridge Sts.) Lewiston, NY. Funeral service will be held on THURSDAY at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
