The first picture is of the Dolloff Mehl family. Mom, Dad, Ted, Michael and Chris.
The second is Sandy and a friend, who appears to be taller that her!

Our family, Mom, Dad, Sandra, Kurt, Eric and I all lived and grew up in Youngstown together. Our mother told me that when I was a child three and four years old my sister Sandra took me everywhere with her in my stroller. She was a teenager and she loved me as her little pet brother. How lucky can you get!
I cried so hard when I saw her leaving a ship from Canada as an exchange student to England for a year.
The summer she left home mom asked her why she was packing up so early in the summer to leave for college, to which Sandy responded, "I am packing up to leave home to marry Ted". Our parents quickly prepared a reception in our home before she left. It's the last memory of her I have living with us.
She lived all over the country and in Germany while having 3 sons along the way. She lived in Youngstown again while her then husband Ted was serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. She returned to Lewiston after retiring from D.C. and married David Stevens after a HS reunion. He cared for her to the end.
I love this picture of her and I together in 1956 when I was 3 and she was 17.
