Virginia W. “Ginny” McEvoy, age 71, of Tonawanda formerly of Lewiston died on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Ginny was born on August 18, 1948 in Crawford, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Harlan and the late Louise (Marshall) Worthley. Ginny attended Lew-Port High School graduating in 1966 and went on to obtain her master’s degree from Buffalo State. She was employed by Niagara Falls Board of Education at Niagara Falls High School as a Special Education Teacher. Ginny was an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal in Niagara Falls and St. Paul's Episcopal in Lewiston and also volunteered at planned parenthood. She is survived by one son; Michael (Joni) McEvoy; her stepchildren; Jeff (Trecia) McEvoy, Todd McEvoy, and Christy (Christopher) Neadow. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her siblings Ruth (David) Slepian, Laura Worthley, Elizabeth (Richard) Edwards, Clark Worthley, David (Meriola) Worthley and Annie (Kenneth) Salhany. Services will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston, NY 14092.
