Daniel M. Rafferty, age 70 of the Town of Niagara, died Wednesday July 22, 2020 at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice after a long illness. Daniel was born May 5, 1950 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Paul A. and Marjorie (Bartlebaugh) Rafferty. He grew up in Youngstown, was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. On June 24, 1995 he married Judy M.(Sweet) Rafferty. Daniel retired from Randy's Sneaker Shop where he was employed as Manager for many years. He was a member of Power City Lodge 158, Niagara Falls, and the Cataract Cruisers. In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by a daughter, Elaine Gordon; a step daughter, Bridget (Timothy) Cantrill; a grandson, Kevin Gordon; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Brenda Cantrill; his siblings, Diane (late George) Tolley, Linda (late Anthony) Egert, Mary (Late Wayne) Thompson, Timothy (Susan) Rafferty, Penny DeLong, and Terrie (Michael) Thompson; and his best canine friend, Rudy, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Rafferty and a brother, James Rafferty. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday, July 24, from 4-7 PM. Military Honors will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. .
