Sgt Madrid was a pleasure to work with, many years ago me and rocky use to enjoy our conversations together as we made our assigned rounds together , Rocky was well versed on almost any subject , Rocky was also very helpful in selling my house in 2004 after activation by the Army National Guard in 2004, you will be missed , Lieutenant Carl Reggentine (ret)

Jake Walters posted a condolence

I worked with Rocky in corrections. He was a “Stand up Guy”. I am recollecting an incident wherein Sergeant Madrid was under immense pressure, from a captain, who ordered him to make a false accusatory statement against a Lieutenant. This statement would have exonerated Rocky and was the expedient, and easy route to take. Rocky steadfastly refused to lie and perjure himself. For a short time, until his retirement, he was harassed and persecuted by this criminal captain, but he endured until the end. Rocky always portrayed a humble, low-key persona, never bragging or boastful about his talents and accomplishments. Rest in Peace Rocky, and we will see you again, at the seventh trump, in the coming millennial kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lt. Jake Walters (ret.)

Revelation 11:15 New International Version (NIV)
(The Seventh Trumpet)
15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,
and he will reign for ever and ever.”
Matthew 6:10 New International Version (NIV)
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 New International Version (NIV)
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

I remember all the fun we used to have camping in the backyard tent city inSaranac lake, the boat races and when you would come up and ski with Deb and Rich. You will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to you Deb. I know how you are feeling. The loss is overwhelming. Keep your memories close to your heart. Rocky will never be forgotten.
