Ed, Kathy & the entire Blinco family,
So sorry to hear about your dad. Remember seeing your dad & mom at Clark's Burger house & your mom at Garden Club. My mom (Lila Steinbrenner Crewe) & aunt (Roberta Steinbrenner Carr) grew up in the same neighborhood as your dad & always referred to him as Buddy Blinco. As a child, he must have been well liked to merit such a nickname. He always had the biggest smile,,,
In deepest sympathy,
Kathy (Crewe) Harold

To Stewart Family I'm very sorry for your loss. I meet him at the VFW Lake Ontario Post #313 434 3rd St.
Youngstown, New York. He was in his youth a great Solider during WWII. Stewart served proudly in the United States Army during World War II as an MP from 1946 to 1948 serving overseas in Guam, Japan then in California. He will be greatley missed by all who knew him. (RIP Old Time Soldier.)

As a 1960 graduate and member of NFHS's undefeated 1959 football team, I remember with fondness the direction under which Coach Stu led our team.. He was easy to talk to and a great compliment to head coach Mike O'Laughlin. He was our greatest cheerleader and was always able to hold the entire team's attention whenever Coach Mike was working one-on-one with a player..Thanks in large part to Coach Stu, we excelled on the field and in the classroom. R.I.P.

Coach Blinco was very kind and patient with kids who were NOT athletic, and I never forgot how uniquely good he was to me and to other awkward, clumsy kids in gym classes. He made them bearable for me, and I often thought of the example he set when I later worked as a juvenile probation officer. This picture is just as I remember him. God bless his good soul and comfort his family. Sincerely,
Jim Cunningham [NFHS Class of 1966].
