Obituary of Catherine A. Diem
Catherine A. Diem 95, of Ransomville wife of the late Henry J. Diem entered into rest on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace in Lewiston, NY. Catherine was born on April 17, 1924 in Ball Township, Clearfield County, PA, she is the daughter of the late Cecil C. and the late Lilie A. McClincy Wolfe. She married Henry J. Diem in 1941 and was a homemaker her entire life.
Catherine was a Ladies Auxiliary member of the O. Leo Curtiss American Legion Post 830 where she held several offices including President, she also was a delegate to the Niagara Co. Committee of the American Legion Auxillary. Catherine enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.
She is survived by five daughters; Henrietta Diem, Agnes (Late Thomas) Peters, Laura Diem (Deborah Corwin), Catherine (Richard) Neiswonger and Gloria (Late Raymond) Garis, and three sons; David (Diana) Diem, Daniel (Cheryl) Diem and Henry (Tina) Diem Jr; 17 grandchildren ;12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Catherine is predeceased by her husband Henry; a son Douglas Diem and seven brothers and sisters.
