Obituary of Josephine Tulimieri

Josephine Tulimieri, 98 of Lewiston wife of the late Felice J. Tulimieri entered into rest on      October 15, 2019   at home in Lewiston under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Born on February 13, 1921 in Palermo Sicily, Italy to the late Antonio and Carmella Verdichizzi Cardullo. Her working career started in Brooklyn, NY as a secretary with C.R. Vose and then was the owner and manager of the Cobblestone Inn of Mahopac, NY and then was an insurance agent retiring from the Mamakating Insurance Agency in Wurtsboro, NY.  In 1983 Josephine and Felice moved to Lewiston where they both worked and managed Hansen’s Fish Market. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting for many years. 

Survivors include her 3 children; Claire (John) Cieslewicz of Lewiston; Philip (the late Sara) Tulimieri of Nashville, TN and Richard (Anne) Tulimieri of Staten Island, also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Josephine is predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister.

Family and friends may call on FRIDAY from 4- 7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. N. Fourth and Ridge Sts. Lewiston, NY 14092. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on SATURDAY (OCT 19) at 9:00 AM  at St. Peter’s RC Church 600 Center St. Lewiston, NY ( Please assemble at Church).
