We have all lost such a great friend with Jimmys passing. Jim was always willing to help anyone in need, professionally or socially. We have shared many happy times at the Village Pump and the Stone Jug over the years and shared many laughs. I am hoping that someone at his Memorial will tell the story of Jimmy and Bruce Reid driving to Ohio! Not too many people are aware that James P was an elite member of the Turtle Society, est: 1977, with meetings held at his DeVeaux residence which he shared with John Tattersall I believe. After many years of not speaking to Jimmy, I was able to conduct business with him a few years back. As we ended our conversation I asked him if he was still a Turtle and with the required response he never hesitated to say, you bet your sweet ass I am.
Jimmy had all the qualities of a grown up Boy Scout, always respectable, faithful and willing to help others, a quality that seems to be rare these days. Although his death was as sudden as Tommy’s, he’s not suffering or debilitated in a nursing home.
Jimmy now walks the greens with Tommy, Maurice, Bruce and all the others that we’ve lost. I’m sure Renee’ was there to meet him with a warm beer!
May he Rest In Peace

I extend my condolences to the family and friends of Jim. As a fellow lawyer I have known Jim for many years. Jim was a most able and competent lawyer who just happen to be a gracious, kind and caring individual who was a gentle man in the truest sense of the word. He was the most decent man you could ever hope to meet.
