Obituary of Mary Clair Flanagan

Mary Clair (Dorgan) Flanagan 80, of Youngstown wife of the late Edward Flanagan entered rest on June 14, 2019 at the Niagara Hospice House Lockport, NY.

Born on July 04, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Clair and Katherine Brady Dorgan. Mary graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1956, she married Edward Flanagan on May 10, 1958. Mary was a long-time member of St. Bernard’s RC Church where she served on the Rosary and Alter Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and above all loved taking care of her family.

Mary is survived by her children; Catherine Flanagan of Atlanta, Anne (Michael) Ball of Atlanta, James (Carrie) Flanagan of Atlanta, Francis Flanagan of Lewiston and Patricia (Vince) Gagliardo of Grand Island. She is predeceased by her son Michael Flanagan. Also surviving are several brothers and sisters; Catherine Gold, Frank Dorgan, Bill Dorgan, Elizabeth LeBelle, Tom Dorgan and Steve Dorgan. She is predeceased by her brothers Eugene, Peter, Daniel and John Dorgan. Mary is survived by several grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Jack, Vincent, Michael and 1 great grandchild Renlee.

Friends and family may call on MONDAY from 2-7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC N. Fourth and Ridge Streets Lewiston, NY 14092. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on TUESDAY (6/18) at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard’s RC Church Second and Hinman Sts. Youngstown, NY 14174 with Rev. Msgr Thomas Moran officiating (PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH). Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s RC Church Cemetery.
