Obituary of Ralph W. Kullmann
Ralph W. Kullmann, Age 96 recently of Lewiston, NY, died Wednesday May 8, 2019, at Evelyn’s House Hospice in St. Louis, MO. Ralph was born February 23, 1923 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Joseph Kullmann and Rosamund Kullmann.
After serving as an Army Sergeant in the European Theater during WWII he returned to the States where he received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Ralph married Norma Gardner on August 7, 1949 and after several moves settled in Lewiston New York in 1965, where they resided until Norma’s death in 2015. Ralph was employed by Union Carbide until he retired in April 1984.
Ralph was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Niagara Falls, where he served as a Deacon, and was active in the Retired Men's Chorus. He had a variety of interests, but is most remembered for his love of traveling, golf and volunteering. His volunteer activities included, church, Art Park, tax consulting for the elderly, Choir, Bell-Ringing, and driving the Van-Go patient transportation for St. Mary’s Hospital.
He is survived by his children, Janice (Conley) Thompson of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, Bruce (Connie) Kullmann of Albuquerque, NM, Gary (Gail) Kullmann of Chesterfield, MO, and Nancy (James) Krause of Jacksonville, FL. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Burial will be private in the Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown New York. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Niagara Falls or Evelyn’s House 1000 N Mason Rd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
