Obituary of Julie Lynn Smith

Julie Lynn Smith 60, of  Burt, NY entered in rest after a brief illness on  Friday April 12, 2019 at the Niagara Hospice House Lockport, NY.

Born in Lockport, NY on April 16, 1958  she was the daughter of the late Donald A. Burrows and Wanda Stephenson Burrows. She graduated from Wilson Central School in 1976.

Julie was the switchboard operator for Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane and Lockport for 40 years. She was known as the “voice” of the Eastern Niagara Hospital. Julie loved her work and all the long-lasting friendships she made with fellow co-workers and doctors. She was a long-time member of the Exley United Methodist Church and the Wilson Historical Society and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving is her mother Wanda Burrows; daughters, Katelyn (Stephen) Burow and Chelsea Lynn Smith; her brother  Donald K. Burrows; her uncles, Kenneth ( Prudence) Burrows and Larry Stephenson; her aunt Janet Ellis; her grandson Elliott Lucas Burow also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may call on WEDNESDAY from 4 - 8 PM. at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY.

Funeral service will be held THURSDAY (APRIL 18) at 11:00 am in the Exley United Methodist Church, 338 Lake St. Wilson, NY with Rev. John Loeser officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
