Obituary of Nelva J. Brown

Nelva J. Brown, age 78 of Ransomville, died Sunday July 11, 2010 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Nelva was born March 21, 1932 in Beckley, West Virginia. On December 8, 1950 she married Orville S. Brown and they had lived in Ransomville since 1969. Orville predeceased her on December 10, 2005. Nelva worked on the Assembly Line at Harrison Radiator in Lockport from 1971 to her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed ceramics, traveling, and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Rhonda (David) Ripson of Wildwood, FL, Paul S. (Chris) Brown of Ransomville, Donald (Susan) Brown of Mosspoint, MS, Karen (Harry) Brown of Ransomville, Sharen (Steve) Yeoman of Greenwood, IN, and Richard Brown of Sanborn. 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive. She was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice Ayers. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 15, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. William Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
