Obituary of Mildred H. Truesdale
Mildred H. Truesdale 97, of Youngstown, NY wife of G. Cleland Truesdale entered into rest on Sunday March 24, 2019 at home.
Born at her home in Warrens Corner, NY on December 12, 1921 she was the daughter of the late William and the late Ada Kelly Hoag. She attended the local country school, Lockport High School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1938 then went on to Kelly Business Institute that was owned and operated by her uncle Leslie Kelly. In 1943 she met Cleland Truesdale they married on November 20, 1943 and moved to Youngstown. Mildred worked for Carborundum Co. as a billing clerk, the Youngstown Cold Storage, the Youngstown Post office and lastly in her home raising and caring for 3 children and running the family farm.
Surviving is her beloved husband Cleland Truesdale; her children Clifford Truesdale of Youngstown, NY and Carole Truesdale of Stillwater, MN; her sister Marilyn Toohey of Lewiston, NY; 3 grandchildren Kimberly (Todd), Adam (Wendy) and Scott (Erin) and 2 great grandchildren Riley and Haley. Mildred is predeceased by her son Gary Truesdale who she devoted a lot of time caring for.
Private services will be held at the convivence of the family, inurnment will be held in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
