Leon Campbell

Leon C. Campbell 100, of North Tonawanda formerly of Lewiston and husband of the late Ruth Moss Campbell died Thursday February 21, 2019 in the Mount St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 16, 1918 he was the son of the late Clifford and the late Lenora Treichler Campbell. He served in the European theater during World War II as a member of the United States Army. Leon was a Pipefitter, employed by Union Carbide Niagara Falls, NY for 35 years retiring in 1976. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in his yard. Leon is survived by two daughters Diane (Donald) Welch of Liverpool, NY and Pamela (Late Gregory) Alfes, of Blasdell, NY. Also surviving is his grandson Matthew Alfes. Leon is predeceased by a brother Earl Campbell and a sister Doris Annible. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Graveside services will be held on TUESDAY (FEB 26) at 11:00 am at the North Ridge Cemetery Church Rd. Town of Cambria, NY with military honors.
