Obituary of Marilyn J. Thibeault

Marilyn J. Thibeault, age 74 formerly of Lewiston and Youngstown died Friday July 9, 2010 in the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Home in North Tonawanda, after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Marilyn was born December 7, 1935 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of the late Russell W. and Joanne (Witzel) Elofson. She graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. Following graduation she worked at Grand Forks Hospital in Grand Forks, ND until 1965. From 1966 to 1979 she volunteered at the Midland Medical Center Blood Bank in Midland, MI. In 1979 she moved to Lewiston and resided there until 1985 when she moved to Sioux City, IO. Marilyn returned to Youngstown in 1993 and entered the Mt. View Health Facility in 1996 where she remained until its' closing. Marilyn has been a resident of the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Home since then. She is survived by her children, John C. (Tammy) Thibeault of Anderson, IN, Richelle (James) Pollow of Youngstown, Pamela Jasa of Sioux City, IO, and Melanie L. Thibeault of Nebraska; a brother, Richard (Terry) Elofson of Federal Way, WA; 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Tuesday July 13, from 7 to 9 pm. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. Drive for Life Fund, PO Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174.
