Obituary of Howard A. Sawyer
Howard A. Sawyer, 101, of Youngstown NY, husband of the late MaryJane Miller Sawyer entered into rest on Tuesday December 04, 2018, at home. He was surrounded by family under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Wyandotte, MI, on November 07, 1917, he was the son of the late Arthur L. Sawyer and the late Florence Jones Sawyer. He married the late Mary Jane Miller in September 1945. Howard was the Owner/Operator of Teletech in Wyandotte, MI selling and repairing electronics and later worked for R.S Electronics of Detroit as a sales specialist. He was a member of the Niagara Frontier Bible Church. He enjoyed reading the bible, philosophy, golf and was known to be a self inventor.
He is survived by two Daughters; Ruth (Michael) Hrywnak of Youngstown, NY and Mary Elizabeth (Bruce) Metcalf of Carlisle, MA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Anna Hrywnak, Seth (Sarah Battaglia) Hrywnak and a great grandchild Elijah Hrywnak. Howard is predeceased by 3 sisters.
Friends and family may call on FRIDAY from 12-1 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME INC., N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston, NY, funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Mark Auernhamer officiating. Interment will be held on SATURDAY (Dec 8) at 10:00 AM in Oakland Rural Cemetery, everyone is welcome to attend.
