Obituary of Evelyn Marie Peters

Evelyn Marie (Nee Jordan) Peters born September 22, 1927 to the late Orvis and Twila Jordan passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 02, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Bernard J. Peters.

She is survived by her children Terry (Donna) Peters, Linda (Jim) Bodle, Kathleen (Russ) Harris, Mona Carney, Cheryl Sue (Mike) Kulak, Patti (Phill) Barger, Tammy Chase, Ronald Peters; daughter in-law Crystal Peters and son in-law Robert Moore; her brother Bernard (Delores) Jordan; sister Patricia (Bill) Davis. Also survived by 26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn in predeceased by her son Larry Peters and daughter Penny Moore; her sisters Louise Woods, Marjory Owens, Norma Jean Jordan and a brother Calvin Jordan.

After raising 10 children she went to work as a supervisor at Pfeiffer Foods for 29 years. She was an active member of her Fillmore Chapel Church community. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Sabres and Yankees. She will be remembered fondly by her children and grandchildren for her sense of humor that was with her until the end.

Friends and family my call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131 on THURSDAY from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church 2523 Youngstown-Wilson Rd (Corner of Ransomville Rd and Youngstown- Wilson Rd.) Ransomville, NY on FRIDAY ( Dec, 7) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Anne Cole officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice or the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church.
